ANNUAL MULE DAY
Mule Day
Description:
Imagine
a day that begins with a sunrise breakfast. Imagine over 500 booths
of arts, crafts, and other wares. Then imagine mules everywhere,
old fashioned wagons, hitching gear and the like. That's how Mule
Day in Calvary, GA begins. There's a parade at 11:00 A.M. with
prizes for the prettiest, ugliest, and most ornery mules.
There's a
Mule Museum that will take you back to the days of "shade"
tobacco farms. With events and performances scheduled throughout
the day, Mule Day is a great way to fill an afternoon with fun
for the entire family.
There's cane
juice to drink and you can even watch cane syrup and corn meal
made on the spot as it was made in the "old days". Imagine
seeing a mule-driven grinder for the first time. Combine all of
this atmosphere with a visit to the Mule Museum mentioned above
and you're sure to have an experience that you won't be able to
get anywhere else around.
